The WALATOWA WOODLANDS INITIATIVE is a Native American-owned enterprise specializing in environmentally sound forest restoration services and custom wood products. We are located on the Pueblo of Jemez Reservation in the State of New Mexico. The Pueblo of Jemez is a federally recognized tribe located in north-central New Mexico, approximately 50 miles northwest of Albuquerque . We are home to over 3,500 tribal members. The people of Jemez cherish their ancestral traditions and are dedicated to sound stewardship of their natural resources.

We pride ourselves on working with local communities, state, and federal agencies in accomplishing common goals, which include maintaining healthy, resilient forests by reducing fuel loads and lessening the threat of catastrophic wildfires.
